Nodered automation for auto watering and light schedules etc.
Probably needs to be pulled into a project.

Need certain components still. 5v > 24v transformer, contactor with 24v coil,

Or am I using raspberry pi pico with python background?

Went with raspberry pi pico, cheaper to get started technically.
Already built a thermostat for it:

Which is a fork from this, which will be more specialized for indoor home grow projects:
